It's time for a smile. Our friend, Kathy sent this clip last night. Made me laugh, so I thought I'd pass it on.
It's cold here, as in single digit wind chills, and it has been for 4 days. So, I thought a little smile from way up north might be appropriate. The man pictured above lives in Alaska. He raised an abandoned moose calf with his horses and has trained it for lumber removal and other tasks. He claims that, because it is 2000 pounds of muscle and has splayed, grippy hooves, this moose is the best work animal he has.
The big week is finally here! Is it just me, or does it seem early this year? Oh, well... My friend, Pat, sent me this over the weekend. If you're looking for a way to spice up your traditional Thanksgiving dinner, you might want to consider this.
A New Way to Prepare Your Holiday Turkey
1. Cut out aluminum foil in desired shapes.
2. Place turkey in the roasting pan, arrange foil carefully. (See picture.)
3. Roast according to your own recipe and serve.
4. Watch your guests' faces!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks, Kathy, for sending me this terrific clip!

Remember that dancing bird I posted a clip of Wednesday? Well, I found out he's a rescued cockatoo, being cared for by Bird Lovers Only Rescue. Apparently, he just sat on his little perch quietly keeping to himself... until the day he heard that song by the Backstreet Boys. Now he's a star - made USA Today and everything. I hear a fan club is forming. Go Snowball!
It's been a frantic little week so far. Nothing bad, just trying to cram too much into each of my days. So, what else is new, right?! My friend, Pat, sent me this clip this afternoon. It made me laugh so, of course, I had to post it. This bird dances better than I do!
Here's a joke to start your week. This one's for anybody who writes movies, or has ever thought about writing them. FYI: screen writing is my least favorite form of writing.
Question: How many screenwriters does it take to change a light bulb?
Answer: Ten.
1st draft. Hero changes light bulb.
2nd draft. Villain changes light bulb.
3rd draft. Hero stops villain from changing light bulb. Villain falls to death.
4th draft. Lose the light bulb.
5th draft. Light bulb back in. Fluorescent instead of tungsten.
6th draft. Villain breaks bulb, uses it to kill hero's mentor.
7th draft. Fluorescent not working. Back to tungsten.
8th draft. Hero forces villain to eat light bulb.
9th draft. Hero laments loss of light bulb. Doesn't change it.
10th draft. Hero changes light bulb.
You know you're going to have a bad work week when it starts like this.
